Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Effective: 2 May 2026 · Read together with the Terms of use.

Plain language. This site uses Alpha91’s official implementation of the open SLTL protocol with SLTL Trust (an Alpha91 brand at sltltrust.com) as the sole Trust Authority. It helps your Operator apply serious, modern application security. It does not insure you against hacking, data breaches, fraud, or mistakes — and Alpha91, SLTL Trust, and SLTL are not financially or legally responsible for those harms to the fullest extent the law allows.

1. Not professional advice

Nothing on this site or in SLTL documentation is legal, insurance, audit, or medical advice. Hire qualified professionals for compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, POPIA, etc.) and for incident response.

2. Security reality

Criminals adapt; software has defects; people misconfigure servers; vendors have outages. A breach can occur despite strong controls. SLTL’s features (including logging, blocking, and verification flows) reduce risk but do not eliminate it.

3. No warranty

The service is provided as is. We disclaim implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alpha91, SLTL, SLTL Trust, licensors, and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from or related to:

  • unauthorised access to or alteration of your data;
  • malware, phishing, credential stuffing, denial-of-service, or other attacks;
  • loss or corruption of data;
  • business interruption;
  • reliance on audit logs or dashboards as sole evidence;
  • actions or omissions of the Operator, hosting provider, or third parties.

See the Terms of use for aggregate caps and indemnity provisions.

5. Operator responsibility

The party operating this installation is responsible for backups, TLS configuration, access to servers, vendor selection, user support, and notifying regulators or data subjects when the law requires it.
