Terms of use
Effective: 3 May 2026 · Applies to use of this site’s Alpha91 official implementation of the SLTL protocol, SLTL Trust as the sole Trust Authority, and related trust marks. The protocol specification itself is open (Apache 2.0); this codebase and deployment are proprietary unless Alpha91 agrees otherwise in writing.
1. Who we are
Alpha91 Enterprises Pty Ltd (“Alpha91”) originates and stewards the SLTL (Secure Link Trust Layer) protocol, published as an open specification under the Apache License, Version 2.0 at github.com/malogies/sltl-protocol. That licence applies to the specification, not to a grant of trademark rights.
SLTL Trust is the sole Trust Authority for the SLTL protocol, operated by Alpha91 as one of its brands. SLTL Trust runs its operational platform at sltltrust.com and the public link-verification endpoint at sltl.global.
SLTL Trusted™, SLTL Trust™, Secure Link Trust Layer™, and SLTL.global™ are trademarks of SLTL Trust, an Alpha91 brand; SLTL™ is claimed as a common-law mark; Alpha91® is a registered trademark. Use of trust marks requires explicit authorization — see the Trademarks page.
In these Terms, “SLTL”, “we”, and “us” refer collectively to this deployment’s SLTL features, Alpha91’s official implementation as integrated here, and SLTL Trust’s role as Trust Authority, as context requires. The party operating this installation is the “Operator”. “You” means the person or organisation using the site or SLTL features integrated with it.
You may not use SLTL trust marks, represent links as SLTL Trusted, or hold yourself out as a Verified Issuer under SLTL Trust without express written authorization from SLTL Trust. You may not copy, modify, sublicense, or redistribute this implementation’s proprietary codebase except as Alpha91 permits in writing (the open protocol spec is separately licensed on GitHub).
2. The service
Protocol. SLTL defines a standard way to issue, verify, and enforce trust around links before sensitive actions are executed. The public specification is open; anyone may read it and build compatible software subject to the spec licence — but that does not grant use of SLTL trust marks or the SLTL Trusted designation without SLTL Trust’s authorization.
Trust Authority. SLTL Trust is the sole Trust Authority for the protocol. Only verified issuers operating under SLTL Trust may represent links as SLTL Trusted. Alpha91 intends the public verify experience to live at sltl.global, where links bearing the SLTL Trusted seal can be verified before action; roadmap statements are not a commitment to ship any feature by a fixed date.
This implementation. This site runs Alpha91’s official implementation — an application-level security layer for identity, session, and trust (including, where enabled, password authentication, email verification, one-time codes, optional two-factor authentication, audit logging, IP controls, and related tooling). The exact feature set depends on configuration and version.
This implementation is intended to help Operators implement up-to-date, industry-recognised security practices at the application layer. It does not provide legal, insurance, or compliance certification on its own, and it does not replace perimeter defences (such as firewalls, WAFs, or DDoS mitigation) or secure hosting.
3. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate registration information where required, keep credentials confidential, and promptly notify the Operator of suspected compromise. You must not misuse SLTL features to harass others, bypass law, probe third-party systems without authorisation, or overload infrastructure.
4. Security — no guarantee of outcomes
While SLTL is engineered with security in mind and is maintained to align with reasonable industry practices, no information system is perfectly secure. SLTL does not warrant that the service will be free of vulnerabilities, unauthorised access, malware, or denial-of-service conditions.
You acknowledge that breaches, leaks, account takeover, misconfiguration, third-party failures, and human error can still occur, with or without SLTL, and that the Operator remains responsible for its environment (hosting, backups, TLS, access control to servers, and business continuity).
5. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
6. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
- IN NO EVENT SHALL ALPHA91, SLTL, SLTL TRUST, ITS LICENSORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR THE OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE — INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION SECURITY BREACHES, DATA LOSS, UNAUTHORISED ACCESS, SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS, OR RELIANCE ON AUDIT LOGS — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
- IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF ALPHA91, SLTL, SLTL TRUST, AND ITS LICENSORS FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) ZERO WHERE NO FEES ARE PAID FOR SLTL ITSELF, OR (B) THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO THE OPERATOR SPECIFICALLY FOR SLTL IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in that case, liability is limited to the minimum extent still permitted.
7. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator, Alpha91, SLTL, and SLTL Trust (and their personnel) from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of others’ rights — except to the extent caused by Alpha91’s or SLTL’s wilful misconduct where the law does not permit exclusion.
8. Privacy
Processing of personal data through SLTL features is described in the Privacy policy. That policy supplements these Terms where data protection law applies.
9. Changes
The Operator may update these Terms or linked policies. Material changes should be indicated by an updated “Effective” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
10. General
If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. These Terms are governed by applicable law as determined by the Operator’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer rules say otherwise.
11. Contact
For questions about these Terms, contact the Operator of this site (your administrator or support channel).
